2019/2020 Season Announcement

Jennifer Rowley is thrilled to announce her upcoming 2019/20 season that will feature three major role debuts and international house debuts. This summer, Jennifer made her role debut as Valentine in Meyerbeer’s grand opéra Les Huguenots at the Semperoper Dresden, with Bachtrack critically praising her performance:

“Jennifer Rowley sang Valentine with a smooth, full soprano, showing beautiful high notes, great breath control, and interpretative skills. Her grand scene during the fourth act was heart-breaking: she threw herself into the character and managed to describe every emotion of the unfortunate Valentine.”

Ms. Rowley launches her 2019/20 season with her debut at Opera San Antonio as Tosca (Sep 12 & 14). She reprises two of her celebrated Puccini roles at the Metropolitan Opera: Tosca in Sir David McVicar’s sumptuous production (Apr 15 & 18), and then Musetta in Zeffirelli’s lavish production of La Bohème (Apr 29, and May 2 & 7). This season, Ms. Rowley adds two Verdi roles to her growing list of repertoire, and she makes two highly anticipated house debuts: first at the National Theatre Prague as Amelia from Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera (Oct 31 & Nov 2), and then at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona in the title role of Verdi’s Aida (Jan 14, 17, 20, 23, 28, 31, and Feb 2). She ends her season making her much-anticipated house and role debut at Opera Australia as Elisabetta from Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux (Jun 30, and Jul 4, 8, 11, 13, 16).

On the concert stage, Jennifer returns to Fort Worth Opera for a concert with pianist Joe Illick (Sep 28); she returns to the Salisbury Symphony as the featured artist in their “Opera Fireworks” Gala Concert (Oct 12); she performs in concert for Toledo Opera (Oct 25), and she also sings a recital with Opera Naples, part of their “Opera Stars Concert” series (Nov 15). An avid mentor to young artists, Ms. Rowley will lead masterclasses at SUNY Potsdam, and she returns to her alma mater, Baldwin Wallace University for her second residency, where she will teach BW students in masterclasses and lessons, and will also present a solo recital. More information about her 2019/20 season is available via Jennifer’s Schedule.
