2018/19 Season Preview

Following her acclaimed debut in the title role of Simon Mayr’s bel canto opera Medea in Corinto at Teatro Nuovo, Jennifer Rowley’s upcoming 2018/19 season will feature highly anticipated debuts, concerts, and festival appearances throughout Europe and the United States.

She begins her season with her house debut at the Teatro Maggio Musicale Fiorentino singing Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore (September 13, 16, 19, 22), and she will return later in the season as the soprano soloist in Mahler’s heroic Symphony No. 8 under the direction of Maestro Fabio Luisi (April 11). Ms. Rowley returns to The Metropolitan Opera for her title role debut as Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur sharing the stage with Anita Rachvelishvili and Piotr Beczala (January 23, 26) and she will sing the title role in Sir David McVicar’s production of Puccini’s Tosca (March 18, 23, 26, 29 & April 2, 6).

Ms. Rowley will also teach masterclasses at with New York Singing Teachers Association (October 14) and serves as the 2018-19 Artist-in-Residence at her alma mater, Baldwin Wallace University, teaching master classes and lessons, in addition to presenting a recital.
