'Les Huguenots' at Semperoper Dresden

Jennifer Rowley begins the 2022/23 season with her return to Semperoper Dresden as Valentine in Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots. Ms. Rowley previously starred as Valentine in director Peter Konwitschny’s production of Les Huguenots at Semperoper Dresden in 2019, receiving rave reviews from Backtrack saying:

“Jennifer Rowley sang Valentine with a smooth, full soprano, showing beautiful high notes, great breath control and interpretative skills. Her grand scene during the fourth act was heart-breaking: she threw herself into the character and managed to describe every emotion of the unfortunate Valentine.”

Performances will take place on October 16, 22, 28, & 31. John Fiore will conduct an incredible cast of singers, including Elena Gorshunova as Marguerite de Valois, Marguerite de Valois as Graf de Saint-Bris, Dimitris Tiliakos as Graf de Nevers, Stepanka Pucalkova as Urbain, Simeon Esper as Cossé, Albert Memeti as Tavannes, Stephen Bronk as De Retz, Padraic Rowan as Méru, and Rupert Grössinger as Maurevert, among others.
