Jennifer Rowley will collaborate in a Virtual Artist Residency with Fort Worth Opera, running from June 6 through August 1. Throughout this exciting eight-week collaboration, Ms. Rowley will hold weekly themed Zoom masterclasses, fascinating lectures, and casual Instagram Live chats with other singers, directors, coaches, and opera industry professionals.
Beginning Saturday, June 6 and continuing for eight weeks through August 1, Ms. Rowley will be giving free Zoom masterclasses focusing on vocal technique, repertoire, language skills, acting, and building a character. Sessions will occasionally feature guest artists, and opera lovers will have an opportunity to audit and observe Ms. Rowley and the singers at work. Audition information is available here.
In addition to the masterclasses, Jennifer will also host Zoom lectures, and engage in casual conversations on Fort Worth Opera’s Instagram page with selected guests. These lectures and informal IG Live talks will highlight topics like the business of singing, the accelerated adoption of technology during the coronavirus crisis, and how to navigate this new digital frontier as an opera singer in the 21st century.
